What this *means* is that we can (re)build an electricity grid that looks a lot more like a (resilient) network than a (fragile) hierarchy. That is the miracle of solar to me. Because we’re about to face some volatility, and I’m betting that resilience will be at a premium.



Read the whole thread, of course, but this is the truth - solar (with storage) can be much more than a drop-in replacement for other electricity generation. It enables a fundamentally different (and more rugged, durable, flexible) way of making and using power.
